SOLID's 2010 Rock Band Karaoke Challenge
NASHVILLE - Nashville’s Society of Leaders in Development (SOLID) is bringing the Second Annual 'Rock Band and Karaoke Challenge' to 12th & Porter on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. This year’s event will again benefit Musicians On Call, an organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. http://www.musiciansoncall.org/
Companies can form their own 'Rock Bands' to compete for the title of Rock Stars of Music Row. A donation of $80 is being asked for each Rock Band that enters the competition. To sign your company up for competition go to SolidNashville.com or email Mike Whitaker at mike@ntspromedia.com. You can also use our PayPal account to register your band. Click here for PayPal.
Doors will open at 6:30pm with all events starting at 7:30 pm. For those not participating in the Rock Band Challenge, admission will be $5 per person for those who are willing to be "challenged" to sing Karaoke, and $10 per person for those who prefer to only watch the festivities. In order to "challenge" someone to sing, the challenger(s) must offer a pledge amount, designate a song to be performed, and select a person to sing that song. The selected person has the option of paying the pledge amount set by the challenger(s) or must sing the song. It is all in the name of fun and fund-raising. If you have a friend or co-worker who you want to hear sing, bring them out and put your money where their mouth is!
